Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Did not compete (Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19).
Prior to Cornell
• Has five years of rowing experience, including two years in the stroke seat of the varsity eight.
• Helped his boat qualify for the Henley Royal Regatta in 2018 and 2019.
• National Schools Regatta finalist
• Also guided his team to victories in several Regional Head races.
Personal
• William Matthew Robinson is the son of James and Judith Robinson and has one older brother, Casey, who is also enrolled at Cornell.
• His father, James, is a 1981 Cornell graduate.
• His paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jean Robinson, were both professors at Cornell.
• His maternal grandfather, Hans Jürgen Jenss, was the 1955 German National Champion in the high jump.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
