At Greenwich HS
Wright rowed for four years at Greenwich high school. As a senior, he helped his crew win a state championship. Wright also played hockey for one year.

Zachary Edmund Wright is the son of Peter and Wendy Wright and he has two younger brothers and two younger sisters. His father graduated from Cornell. Wright is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
