As a Senior (2014)DeProspo was a key cog in the midfield for the Big Red in his final season. He appeared in all 17 contests – making six starts – in 2014. Although he did not crack the stat sheet, he was extremely active part of the Big Red’s work in the defensive third. He finished his career with 1222 minutes played, while helping the squad tie a program record for goals allowed and break a single-season record for team shutouts.
As a Junior (2013)DeProspo remained a key contributor in the Big Red midfield as a junior, playing in all but one game on the season and earning 14 starts. He was often pulled into a defensive role when members of the back line would play forward on set pieces. His one goal on the season was the game-winning score in a 1-0 shutout of Loyola Marymount on Sept. 15 that helped the Big Red claim its third consecutive CU Inaria Cup. DeProspo took 18 shots in 2013, with nine going on goal.Â
As a Sophomore (2012)DeProspo contined to play a vital role in the Big Red both as a defender and midfielder in his second year with the program. He scored his first career goal against Hartwick on Sept. 25, then added another in a 3-0 win against Yale on Oct. 13. DeProspo also had two assists on the season for six points. A versatile athlete, he was called upon in multiple roles and started all but one game during the year.
As a Freshman (2011)
DeProspo contributed to the Big Red immediately as a freshman, playing in every game of the year but one and starting in 12. He played more than 1,000 minutes in the team's midfield in 2011, becoming a mainstay on the left side. He took six shots on the season, two of which went on goal.
Before Cornell
DeProspo spent a year at Don Bosco Preparatory, helping his team to the semifinals of the county championship and the quarterfinals of the non-public state tournament. He was a second-team all-state and first-team all-county selection and was named to the county all-star team. Prior to his time at Don Bosco, he played at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Personal
Atticus William DeProspo is the son of William DeProspo and Catherine Bartlett and has a younger brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
