Biography

At Cornell
In his final season for the Big Red, Putko made six appearances for Cornell, earning his first collegiate start on Nov. 10 against Columbia on Senior Day. Putko came off the bench to make six appearances as a junior, tallying one shot on the season. He made his season debut on Sept. 8 against Vermont, and appeared in back-to-back games against Boston University and Columbia. As a sophomore, he made seven appearances off the bench, tallying two shots on the year.

At O’Neill HS
Putko earned one letter each at O’Neill High School and Wiesbaden American High School in Germany. He was a two-year member of Beach FC, helping the squad earn back-to-back Virginia Club Champions League titles while earning a spot on the league’s all-star team in 2001. A Region I ODP Pool selection in 2002, Putko also competed with SV Gonsenheim in Germany’s top youth league. Putko is a member of the Yorktown Spirit, the four-time reigning ENY state champions.

Personal
Robert Matthews Putko is the son of Chris and Michele Putko. He has three brothers and two sisters. He is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
