Sophomore Season - 2009
Richards continued his recovery from a severe injury suffered during his freshman season and did not see playing time as a sophomore.

Freshman Season - 2008
Richards did not see any action on the varsity squad as a freshman, suffering a severe leg injury midway through the season.

Before Cornell
Richards was an Eastern Massachusetts All-Star as a senior and earned honorable mention on the Boston Globe All-Scholastic team that same season. A two-time first-team all-league selection, Richards was team most valuable player as a senior and served as a team captain in both his junior and senior seasons. Richards was a four-year varsity starter and was a three-year starter for his club team, the New England Eagles. Richards will study in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
