At Cornell
Donovan made his collegiate debut on Nov. 7 against Hartwick, coming off the bench in the Big Red's victory over the Hawks. He picked up an assist three days later against Columbia, again appearing off the bench, and made his first career start in the season finale on Nov. 17 at Penn.

Before Cornell
Donovan was the most valuable player in the New York state championships, serving as captain for the state title-winning team at Mendon. He was also a two-time all-county selection and earned All-Eastern Region Scholar Athlete and the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete awards. Donovan led his high school team to two state final four appearances and a top-25 ranking in the nation during his senior season.

Personal
Brian Donovan is the son of Beth and Kevin Donovan and has two younger brothers. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
