Biography

As a Senior (2014)
Panzica returned to the squad in 2014 following a one-year layoff. The senior appeared in two contests in his final season. He helped the Big Red to a 5-0 shutout over Buffalo, coming on in relief to close out the final 27:28 for the team clean sheet. He made his other appearance on senior day, coming on as a field player.

As a Junior (2012)
Panzica made his first appearance in a Cornell uniform, playing as a forward in one Cornell victory.

As a Sophomore (2011)
Panzica did not appear in any games on the season for the Big Red.

As a Freshman (2010)
Panzica did not appear in any games on the season for the Big Red.

Before Cornell
Panzica was a three-time first-team all-division honoree and garnered second-team all-state honors as a senior. A two-time team captain, he also played four seasons of tennis, serving as team captain twice. Panzica played club soccer with Bruno United FC, helping his club to the state championship in 2009 and a berth in the regional semifinals. In 2008, he was named the Rhode Island ODP male player of the year.

Personal
Ian Sutherland Panzica is the son of John and Deborah Panzica and has an older brother, Scott, who played two seasons of soccer at Rhode Island College. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
