Biography

Coach Scales on Wekwete
[quote]Kuda may play up top or in the midfield this year. His athletic dimension is so important for us. When he[apos]s moving off the ball and getting into space, he is a very dangerous player to deal with. He[apos]s going to be a real important dimension for our team.[quote]

At Cornell
Wekwete made his Big Red debut in 2003 and followed that up with a strong junior year in which he appeared in all 16 games, starting 11. He picked up his first career goal in a late-season thiller against Princeton. An athletic and versatile player, Wekwete will create problems for opposing defenses with and without the ball.

At United Nations International
Born in Zimbabwe, Wekwete was a two-time MVP for the soccer team at the United Nations International School in New York City. He served as team captain as a senior, leading the squad to the state finals while earning playoff MVP honors in the process. As a junior, he was named to the all-conference and All-New York City teams. Prior to moving to New Jersey, Wekwete attended the Banda School in Kenya.

Personal
Kudakwashe Wekwete is the son of Kadmiel and Benhilda Wekwete and has a younger brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in Cornell[apos]s College of Engineering.
