Biography

As a Senior (2016)
Heck was a key contributor to the Big Red midfield during his final season on East Hill, playing in all but one game and earning 10 starts and logging 777 minutes. Heck's best game of the season came against American on Sept. 11 when he scored a goal and registered two shots on goal in his 69 minutes of play. Heck added an assist against Binghamton to bring his season-total to three points on one goal and one assist and his career-total to eight points on three goals and two assists.

As a Junior (2015)
Heck emerged as one of the Big Red’s top offensive threats off the bench his junior season, finishing as the team’s leading scorer with five points. He scored the team’s first goal of the season just over six minutes into the opener at Lafayette, his first career goal. In Cornell’s first win of the season, a 2-1 overtime victory against Air Force, he netted a penalty kick to tie the game at one before taking the free kick that led to a Falcons own goal in overtime. The win lifted the Big Red to the CU Inaria Cup title and Heck was named the tournament’s Offensive MVP.  He also assisted on the game-winning goal in the 84th minute at Princeton on Oct. 31 and led the team with nine shots on goal, including a season-high three in the finale against Columbia. Heck appeared in all 17 contests, logging at least 30 minutes on 16 occasions and at least 50 on 10 occasions.

As a Sophomore (2014)
Heck was a strong player off the bench for the Big Red in his second season. He appeared in 11 contests in 2014, logging a season-high 57 minutes at Binghamton on Sept. 13. His best appearance of the season came on Oct. 14 at Colgate, where he ripped a game-high three shots with one directed on net.

As a Freshman (2013)
Heck did not play for Cornell his freshman year due to injury.

Before Cornell
Heck came to Ithaca from Washington state, where he was a nominee for the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013. He played soccer for club power Eastside FC. In his last two seasons, Eastside competed in the USYSA National Championships, once as Region 4 champions and once as National League champions, finishing third in country in both the U-16 and U-17 age groups in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The team  won the Washington state championship for the seventh time in eight years and will represented Washington at the Far West Regionals in Hawaii in June 2013. Heck also played four years of high school soccer with Eastlake, winning a state championship in 2011. He served as team captain in 2012 and 2013 while earning KingCo 4A First Team honors both years. Heck is joined by two of his Eastside FC club teammates in this incoming class.
