Biography

As a Sophomore (2012)
Altebrando did not play for Cornell as a sophomore.

As a Freshman (2011)
Altebrando became a fixture of the starting lineup in his first season with the Big Red, playing in nine games as a forward and starting eight of them. Along with fellow freshman Matt Kagie, Altebrando began games up front to provide an early spark in matches.

Before Cornell
Altebrando was a member of the 2009 Catholic League championship squad that finished ranked second in the nation. He scored 10 goals and added six assists during that same season.

Personal
Matthew Altebrando is the son of James and Cynthia Altebrando and has an older sister and a younger sister. His cousin, Christian Altebrando, played professional soccer in Italy. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
