Biography

2004 Tri-Captain

Coach Scales on Lynch
[quote]Peter is a natural leader and has established himself as one of the top defenders in our league. His ability to dominate in the air and organize our defense is of paramount importance to us. He is a very responsible, competitive player who is the backbone of our program.[quote]

At Cornell
Lynch developed into the team[apos]s most consistent perfomer in 2003, earning All-Ivy honors, and he looks to cap a strong career with a productive senior campaign. He started in all 14 games in which he appeared in as a junior, scoring the game winner in a 1-0 road win at defending Ivy champ Penn and adding an assist in a loss to Florida Atlantic. Cornell[apos]s best option in the air, Lynch and fellow captain Scott Palguta will anchor the back line in 2004 and should continue to make the defense the team[apos]s trademark.

At Upper Dublin
A two-time all-league selection, Lynch was a member of the All-Southeastern Pennsylvania team as a senior. The Upper Dublin HS captain as a junior and senior, Lynch finished his final year as an all-state selection. He played for the Buckingham Arsenal, a U-17 team that won the USA Cup championship in 2000.

Personal
Peter James Lynch is the son of Daniel and Maryanne Lynch. He has three brothers, including 2000 Cornell graduate John Lynch, and one sister. Peter is a history major in Cornell[apos]s College of Arts and Sciences.
