Biography

As a Sophomore (2016)
Moller did not see any action during the 2016 season.

As a Freshman (2015)
Moller served as the Big Red’s starting goalkeeper for the first half of his rookie season, posting a 1.45 goals-against average and .759 save percentage in 868:37. He posted 11 saves in his debut at Lehigh, tied for second most in a single game over the past 15 years of program history. In the CU Inaria Cup, he saved a penalty kick to preserve his first career shutout in a scoreless draw with Duquesne. He was named the tournament’s Defensive MVP for his efforts.

Before Cornell
Moller played goalkeeper for two years at Dexter High School, where, his sophomore season, he led the team to Eastern Conference, District and Regional Championships and an appearance in the Michigan State Semifinals. He was named first-team all-district and all-region that season before playing with the CSA Wolves of the U.S. Soccer Federation Development Academy, where he led the team to a Central Conference Championship and a berth in the U.S. Development Academy playoffs. He was #121 overall in College Soccer News’ recruiting rankings for the Class of 2015 and #10 among goalkeepers.

Personal
Rhys Carl Moller is the son of Ian and Wendy Moller. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
