As a Junior (2015)
Scales did not appear in any contests as a junior due to injury.

As a Sophomore (2014)
Scales appeared in 14 fixtures for the Big Red in his second year. He recorded two assists on the year. The first came in the Big Red’s 2-0 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson in the second game of the CU Inaria Classic. He also collected a helper in Cornell’s 5-0 thumping of Buffalo. He finished the year one minute short of playing 500+ minutes for the second consecutive season.

As a Freshman (2013)
Scales was the most utilized forward in his class during his first season with the Big Red, playing 884 minutes through 14 games. A skilled forward with explosive speed, Scales consistently applied pressure to the opposition's defense in an attempt to force turnovers in the attacking third. He recorded 14 shots on goal (20 total) and tallied his first collegiate goal in the season finale against Columbia on Nov. 16, helping Cornell to a 3-0 win. He also assisted on Conor Goepel's game-winning goal in double overtime at Hartwick to help the Big Red to the Mayor's Cup title. 

Before Cornell
Scales is the third member of Eastside FC to be joining Cornell’s Class of 2017, as he joined Eastside in March 2012. He won the state championship with them in 2013 and will be heading to Hawaii in June with the club to represent Washington at the Far West Regionals with a berth in the USYSA National Championships at stake. His high school team, Bainbridge Island, has enjoyed tremendous success over the past few years. In 2011 and 2012, Scales’ team made a run to the state championship game, winning it in 2012 while leading the team in scoring and being named Class 3A Second Team All-State.

Sebastian Robert Scales is the son of Robert Scales and Debbie Jenkins. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
