Biography

As a sophomore (2019-20)

• Ranked fourth on team with a .467 winning percentage, going 7-8 from primarily Nos. 7 and 8 positions.
• Won four consecutive matches from Nov. 17 to Dec. 8, capped with a three-game victory over an opponent from Columbia in season's first Ivy League match.
• Accounted for two of Cornell's four points in Jan. 18-19 matches against Virginia and Drexel, winning at No. 7 in both outings.
• Helped team upset top-seeded Dartmouth in Hoehn Cup semifinals with a three-game win at No. 8. 

As a freshman (2018-19)

• Competed exclusively at No. 4 position, posting a 3-10 record.
• Won collegiate debut in five games, staving off opponent from Williams on Nov. 17.
• Recorded three-game victory in Hoehn Cup match against Western Ontario.

Prior to Cornell

• Competing out of the Northern California Squash Association, achieved highest national junior ranking of 17th in BU19.
• Also played baseball for two years at The Bay School of San Francisco, earning all-league second-team honors as a sophomore.

Personal

• Alex John Dworetzky is the son of Joseph Dworetzky and Amy Banse, and he has two sisters and one brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
