Mark Devoy became the head coach of men's squash at Cornell in Octover of 2004 with the goals of pushing the Big Red further up the national rankings in the most competitive conference in the country. Devoy has worked with some of the nation's top junior players in the country while serving as the head squash professional at Heights Casino in Brooklyn since 2000. During that time he has worked closely with six members of the United States junior squads, including training players on nationally ranked college squads from Harvard, Princeton and Yale.

He has also served as tournament director for the Waymuller U.S. Women[apos]s Open, the Baird E. Haney Junior Selection event, Heights Casino FutureStars Tournament and the Johnson Doubles Squash Tournament. Mark worked as a personal trainer/coach for at least one team member of the 1994, '96, '98 and 2000 New Zealand junior men's world championship teams.

Before coming to the United States, Mark was a professional squash coach based out of the Hamilton Squash Club in New Zealand. He served as a regional coach and was the director of Junior Kiwi Sport Squash Development in the Waikato Region.

Mark also played professionally from 1980-83 on the international circuit, earning the No. 3 world ranking while playing in France.

Mark and his wife, Julee, the women's squash coach at Cornell, reside in Ithaca.
