Biography

As a senior (2017-18)

• CSA Individual Championships qualifier.
• CSA Scholar Athlete.
• Rallied for a key five-game victory in a 5-4 victory over Franklin & Marshall on Jan. 20.
• Posted a 4-13 record from Nos. 3, 4 and 5 positions, with all victories coming at No. 5.
• Defeated an opponent from Virginia in three sets during the consolation semifinals of the Hoehn Cup on Feb. 24.
 

As a junior (2016-17)

• 0-4 from the bottom third of the order.
• In season debut, was one of just two members of the Big Red to force a fourth game in a match against eventual national champion Trinity.
 

As a sophomore (2015-16)

• Did not appear in any scoring matches.
 

As a freshman (2014-15)

• 0-4 in his first collegiate matches, taking his opponent from Penn to five sets in an Ivy League match on Feb. 6.
 

Prior to Cornell

• US Squash Scholar-Athlete recipient in 2013 and helped The Haverford School to a fourth-place finish at nationals during his senior season.
• Ranked as high as 18th in the US Squash Junior BU19 division. 
• Once ranked first in Pennsylvania for competitors in his age group.
 

Personal

• Ian Alexander Rothweiler is the son of Kenneth and Linda Rothweiler, and he has an older brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
