Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Served as team tri-captain.
• Did not compete in scoring matches, but defeated opponent from St. Lawrence at No. 10 position on Nov. 17.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Did not compete in any scoring matches.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Appeared in one scoring match, falling in three games at the No. 9 position in a Feb. 4 match against Yale.
Prior to Cornell
• Though the Ramaz School did not have a squash team, Mailman competed out of the New York Sports Club in his home town of Stamford, Conn.
• Despite limited playing opportunities, was able to achieve his highest national ranking of 22nd at the BU11 level.
• Went on to rank as high as 45th at BU15 and 63rd at BU17.
• Spent 2016-17 season studying in Israel.
Personal
• Max Rich Mailman is the son of Mitchell E. Mailman and Susan M. Rich.
• Father competed with the football team at Columbia and later served as a coach with the school's sprint football team.
• Mother competed in tennis at Union.
• Aunt, Robin Rich Fulton, is a member of the Platform Tennis Hall of Fame after winning seven national individual titles and four national mixed championships.
• Enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
