Biography
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Swam in two meets, including the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational.
• Competed in the 100 breast and both the 200 free and 200 medley relays.
Prior to Cornell
• Ruhnke was an All-American and a third-team all-state honoree in the 100 breast while competing at Bridgewater-Raritan HS.
• Part of a national championship 200 medley relay squad while swimming for Lakeland Hills YMCA.
• Placed third at YMCA nationals in the 100 breast.
• Helped his team to a league title as a senior.
• Two-time team captain.
Personal
• Chris Owen Ruhnke is the son of Owen and Clara Ruhnke and has two younger sisters and a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
