Prior to Cornell
A two-time All-American at Chaparral HS, Vitez was the state champion in the 100 breast and 200 IM in 2009. That same season, Vitez helped lead his high school to a state team title as the captain.
Personal
Cody T. Vitez is the son of Terry and Sandy Vitez. His father played football at Cornell in 1962, and was a member of the baseball team from 1962-66. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
