Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Competed in six meets for the Big Red throughout senior campaign.
• Made the B Final of the 100-freestyle at the Zippy Invitational, placing 11th overall in 45.70.
• Notched a personal-best in the 100-butterfly at the Zippy Invite, finishing 17th with a time of 49.91.
• Also secured a season-best in the 50-freestyle at the Zippy Invitational, placing 20th in 21.09.
• Helped the Big Red’s 400-freestyle relay to a second-place finish and the seventh-fastest time in Cornell history (2:58.13) at the Zippy Invite.
• Closed out his collegiate career with a victory in the 100-freestyle in an Ivy League dual against Brown, touching the wall in a season-best 44.94.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Anchored the 200 free relay at the Ivy League Championship to the fifth-fastest time in school history (1:19.99).
• Swam the second leg of a 400 free relay that had the 10th-fastest time ever for the Big Red (2:59.14).
• Also scored in the 100 free (24th, 44.76) and the 200 free (21st, 1:41.07).
• His 100 free time ranked second on the team.
• Competed in six dual meets and the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Made the Ivy League Championship lineup, scoring in three individual events.
• Took 15th in the 100 free with a best time of 44.55 - the eighth-fastest time in school history.
• Led off the 400 free relay that posted the eight-best time in school history, placing sixth overall at the Ivy meet.
• Also scored in the 50 free and as part of the 200 free relay.
• Opened his career by swimming in an Ivy dual meet against Brown, racing in the 100 fly and 200 free.
Prior to Cornell
• Transfer from the University of California.
• Set school records in the 100 free and 400 free relay at Junipero Serra HS.
• Placed seventh in the 100 fly and 11th in the 50 free. at the CIF-CCS Swimming & Diving Championships.
• Competed at the inaugural California State Meet, placing 25th in the 100 fly and leading off Serra’s 200 free (17th place) and 400 free (11th place) relays.
• Finaled in all three of his events (50/100 free and 100 fly) at Santa Clara Futures, going best times, and winning the 100 free.
Personal
• Cyrus Neal Morrison is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
• Founder of a charitable organization called Kick for Kids which holds an annual kick-a-thon fundraiser to benefit the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
• Since its founding in 2011, Kick for Kids has raised over $50,000 to benefit pediatric patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
