Biography
At CornellMay was a strong contributor throughout the 2014 season and was a member of the Teagle pool record-breaking 200 medley relay, which was set in the dual meet against Brown. His versatility is helpful because he can race almost any event in a dual meet. May was voted co-captain for 2014-15 by his teammates. He had a consistently strong 2013 season, representing the team well at dual meets in both the breaststroke and IM events. May had a breakthrough swim at the Ivy League Championships, making the final in his 100 breaststroke with an exciting time drop. May also swam the breaststroke leg of the 200 medley relay. He had a strong freshman season showing versatility throughout dual meets as a key contributor in both breaststroke and IM events.
Prior to CornellA three-time all-state and All-American in the 200 IM at Arvada Senior HS, May was a three-year captain for his team. A two-time league Swimmer of the Year, May was named his school's Male Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior. He was one of the top five male scholar-athletes as a senior by the Denver Post/9News/Denver Athletic Club. A member of the North Jeffco Swim Team, May finished in the top 20 at junior nationals in the 200 IM and 200 Breast. He was a three-year USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
PersonalEric Anthony May is the son of Don and Ronnie May and has a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
