At Cornell
Senior Francisco Lacayo has competed for the Big Red primarily in both the 100 fly and backstroke events. His time in the 100 back in 2009-10 was second-best on the team. A highlight of Lacayo's season last year was the Big Red's win over Colgate, when he won in the 100 backstroke event and was also part of the winning 400 medley relay team.
At Belen Jesuit Prep HS
A four-year swimmer at Belen Prep, Lacayo served as captain of his team as a senior. He was a state runner-up and national qualifier in the 100 backstroke.
Personal
Francisco Lacayo is the son of William and Ileana Lacayo, and he has one older brother and one older sister. He is enrolled in Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
