2023-24 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in nine meets in his first season for the Big Red ... made his debut against Binghamton, earning runner-up finishes in the 100 Breaststroke (56.88) and 1000 Freestyle (9:50.07) ... followed up with second overall in the 400 IM vs. St. Bonaventure with a time of 4:00.67 ... earned second in 200 Breaststroke in Ivy League opener against Harvard and Dartmouth ... secured 66 total points at the Zippy Invitational ... swam his best time in the 200 IM at the invite (1:49.52) to earn 15 points ... earned a runner-up spot in the 200 Breaststroke against Columbia with a final time of 2:05.73 ... logged 35 points at his first Ivy Championship with season-bests in the 200 Breaststroke (1:58.64) and 400 IM (3:55.54).

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Swam four years at Seneca Valley... Was an Individual State Runner-Up in 2023 and named Team MVP... Team State Champion and Team District Champion in 2022.  Three time Team District Runner-Up (2020, 2021, 2023) and four time Individual District Champion (2022, 2023)... Four year varsity letter award winner (2020-2023)... Member of National Science Honor Society and National Merit Scholarship Scholar.

PERSONAL
Haihan Clinton Xu is the son of Yan Zhang and Yuanquan Xu, and has one brother ... he is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
