• Raced in all nine meets for the Big Red as a junior, including the Ivy League Championships.
• Made the A Final and placed sixth in the 200-butterfly at Ivies, breaking the 11-year-old Cornell school record in the process.
• His preliminary 200-butterfly time of 1:45.43 at the conference meet is the fastest in Big Red history, breaking the previous school record held by Cornell head coach Wes Newman ’09.
• Won the B Final of the 100-butterfly at Ivies, placing ninth with the third-fastest time in the Cornell record books (47.64).
• Swam a personal-best 50.27 in the 100-backstroke prelims at the Ivy League Championships.
• Emerged victorious in the 200-butterfly at the Zippy Invitational, breaking the meet record and pool record.
• Also placed second in the 100-butterfly at the Zippy Invitational, while achieving personal-bests in the 200-backstroke (1:49.82) and 200-IM (1:51.60).
• Finished in the top-three of every individual race that he swam during the dual meet season, including six first place showings.
• Swept the 100- and 200-butterfly events in an Ivy League dual against Brown.
• Won the 100-butterfly and placed second in the 200-butterfly against Columbia.
• Finished first in the 200-butterfly and second in the 100-butterfly against Yale.
• Placed second in the 100- and 200-butterfly in an Ivy League tri-meet against Dartmouth and Harvard, and third in both events in a tri-meet against Princeton and Penn.

• Huang finished in the top 11 at the Ivy League Championship in both the 100 and 200 butterfly.
• Won the B final in the 200 fly with a best time of 1:46.14 (No. 3 at Cornell), while placing 11th in the 100 fly in 48.00 (No. 5 at Cornell).
• Swam the third leg of the 400 medley relay at the Ivy meet, with the team's 3:14.94 good for No. 9 in school history.
• Won the 100 and 200 fly races at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational.
• Captured first place in the 100 fly vs. Columbia and the 200 fly against Yale, part of seven top three individual event finishes in dual meets.
• Posted lifetime bests in the 100 back, 100 and 200 fly events.

• Did not compete.

• Huang was named an All-American at Simsbury HS.
• Was a two-time team MVP and an all-state honoree.
• Named a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
• Also played varsity volleyball, lettering once.

• James J. Huang is the son of Shengqiang Huang and Zheng Jin and has an older brother.
• His brother Marshall was a 2013 Cornell graduate.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
