Biography
At Cornell
O'Neil has come a long way while at Cornell, specifically with having greatly improved his consistency. Despite a back injury at the beginning of this past season, he managed to have a breakthrough year. O'Neil made his first Ivy team and became an NCAA zone qualifier. He will want to carry the momentum he created his junior year into his final season with the Big Red and end on a high note.
Prior to Cornell
James O'Neil is a four-time letter winner at Wantagh High School. His accomplishments include being named All-Conference (2007), All-Division (2008, 2009), All-County (2008, 2009), County Champion (2009), and All-Long Island (2009). He received All-American Consideration (2009) and holds high school records for 6-dive score, 11-dive score, and Physical Fitness "Sit & Reach". He was also a member of the Long Island Divers.
Personal
James O'Neil is the son of Joseph and Ann Marie O'Neil, and he has a twin brother, younger sister, and older sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
