As a junior (2014-15)• One of the team’s top sprinters, Kreher competed at the Ivy League championship in the 50 and 100 free and the 100 breast.
• Scored in the 100 breast, winning the C level final at the Ivy meet.
• Won the 100 free sprint against Binghamton, placing second in the race against Colgate and was third against Yale.
• Posted the team’s second-fastest time of the year in the 100 free and the fourth-fastest in the 100 breast.
As a sophomore (2013-14)• Kreher had a breakout season as a sophomore, improving over two seconds in his 100 free and taking off over three seconds in his 100 breaststroke.
• His 100 breast placed him in the consolation final at Ivys and ranks him fifth on Cornell’s all-time top 10 list. Kreher was also a recipient of the team’s hardest worker award this year.
As a freshman (2012-13)• He made strong improvements his freshman season with career-best times in the 50 and 100 free.
• With continued hard work, the program is looking for good things from Kreher this season.
Prior to Cornell• Kreher was a four-year letter winner and multiple time state finalist at Clarence Senior HS.
• He was an All-American in the 200 free relay and a school record holder in the 400 free relay and the 100 breast.
• Kreher served as team captain as a senior.
• He swam club for the Clarence Swim Club, setting records for the program at multiple age group levels.
• He was a 10-time Speedo eastern zone sectional finalist and a champion in the 200 free relay.
Personal• Kevin Mitchell Kreher is the son of Neal and Diana Kreher and has two older brothers, both of whom attend Cornell.
• He is from a long line of Cornellians, including his father and two brothers, as well as three aunts, four uncles and four cousins.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
