As a junior (2016-17)
• Had four top three individual event finishes on the year, including a third-place effort on both the 1-meter and 3-meter against Yale.
• Was the runner-up in the 3-meter competition in the dual meet win at St. Bonaventure.
• Took fourth in both diving events at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.

As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Scored in the 3-meter diving at his first Ivy League Championship meet.
• Finished 18th with a score of 231.35.
• Earned the team’s Hardest Worker Award for the divers.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• Competed in every dual meet as a rookie.
• Finished second in the 3-meter against Colgate.
• Had a pair of top three finishes in a dual meet win over Binghamton in his collegiate debut.

Prior to Cornell
• Rooney was team captain as a senior diver, setting a personal record of 272.25 on the 1-meter board for six dives.
• Rooney competed club for Long Island Diving.

Personal
• Kyle Patrick Rooney is the son of Frank and Vincenza Rooney and has an older brother and sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
