2005-06 Men's Swimming and Diving Roster
Biography
At Cornell: Nate[apos]s primary event coming out of high school and joining the Big Red was the 200 freestyle. In 2004-05, the Cornell men[apos]s team was loaded with solid middle-distance freestylers and, at times, it was difficult for Nate to make an impact or even crack the lineup. He persevered through the season and competed in other events in order to help the team and gain college meet experience. At the EISL championships, Nate accomplished two lifetime-best times and scored in the 200 freestyle. With greater improvement during the coming season and added focus on his strength as a middle-distance swimmer, Nate should be able to make a valuable contribution to the team. Nate[apos]s time in the 200 free (1:43.47) ranked as the season[apos]s fourth-fastest time. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. Personal Bests: 50 free (22.14), 100 free (47.97), 200 free (1:43.32), 500 free (4:47.25).
At La Costa Canyon HS: Nate was second in the 200 free and third in the 100 free in the California Interscholastic Federation finals.
Personal: Nathan James Riccitelli is the son of Sam and Melinda Riccitelli and has one younger sister and one younger brother.
