Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Competed in five meets for the Big Red during sophomore campaign.
• Captured three season-bests at the Zippy Invitational in the 100-breaststroke (58.54), 50-freestyle (22.25), and 100-freestyle (47.96).
• Lowered his season-bests in the 100-breaststroke (58.44) and 100-freestyle (47.62) at an Ivy League dual against Brown.
• Placed second in the 100-freestyle in Cornell’s dual meet victory over Binghamton.
• Notched a season-best in every 100-freestyle race in which he competed during the season.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Runner-up in the 100 free against St. Bonaventure.
• Achieved three personal best times during the season.
• Finished seventh in the 100 breast and 100 free against Brown.
• Competed in the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational, swimming in the 50, 100 and 200 free and the 100 breast.
Prior to Cornell
• Ohr was a four-year member of the swimming team at New Trier HS, earning NISCA All-America honors as a senior.
• Was part of a state championship team as a senior.
• Earned all-conference accolades in each of his final three varsity seasons.
• Swam club for New Trier Aquatics, placing second in the 200 medley relay at the Summer NCSA championships.
Personal
• Pierson Shouta Ohr is the son of Peter and Julie Ohr and has two younger sisters.
• He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
