At Cornell
Wickwire had a solid freshmen season and competed well at the Ivy League Championships. Scoring in both the 200 and 500 freestyles, he will be one of our top middle distance freestylers heading into his sophomore year. Look for him to take it to the next level in the 2012-13 season, something he is very capable of doing.

Prior to Cornell
Wickwire was a four-time letter winner at Mullen HS, winning state titles in the 50 and 500m freestyle, as well as the team title in 2011. He served as team captain all four years, breaking the 4A state record in the 500 free in addition to the school record in the 200m free. While swimming for the University of Denver Hilltoppers (TOPS) club, he was ranked in the top 50 in the US as a member of the USA Gold swim team, breaking the Colorado state record as a member of the 800m freestyle relay. Wickwire also lettered four times in cross country, serving as team captain for two years and qualifying for the state meet in 2010.

Personal
Peter Robinson Wickwire is the son of Rose Wickwire and has two younger brothers. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
