Cornell University Athletics

As a senior (2018-19)

• Competed in the Bomber/Ithaca Winter Invitational, swimming in three events (100, 200 and 500 free).
• Placed third in the 100 free and 200 free against Bryant.
• Finished sixth in the 100 free vs. Brown.
 

As a junior (2017-18)

• Competed in four dual meets in events ranging from the 100 to 200 free.
• Was part of the winning 400 free relay against Columbia.
• Took third in the 200 free against Brown.
• Swam three events and as part of the 200 free relay at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
 

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Put down the ninth-fastest time in school history in the 200 free (1:39.63) at the Ivy League Championships.
• Also scored in the mile at the Ivy meet.
• Won the 200 and 500 free races at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
• Set career-best times in both the 50  and 1,650 free, as well as the 50 and 200 back during the year.
• Was third in the 1,000 free in a dual meet win over St. Bonaventure.
 

As a freshman (2015-16)

• Part of the Ivy League Championship lineup, swimming in the 100, 200 and 500 free.
• Placed second in the 500 free race as part of a dual meet win over Colgate.
• Posted the third-fastest time on the team in the 200 free (1:39.74).
• Competed in six dual meets during his rookie season as a versatile member of the freestyle corps.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Was a three-time league champion in both the 200 and 500 free at Foothill HS.
• Named USA Swimming All-American in the 200 free as a junior and senior and as part of the 200 relay as a junior.
• Three-year USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
• Named to the 2014 North American Challenge Cup team that competed in Veracruz, Mexico in August 2014.
• Named three-time team MVP as well as Rookie of the Year as a freshman.
• Named the league's Swimmer of the Year in each of his final two seasons.
• Also competed in cross country.
 

Personal

• Spencer Derek Kendall is the son of Tim and Andra Kendall and has a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
