2023-24 JUNIOR SEASON
Swam in nine meets, including the 2023 Zippy Invitational and Ivy Championship ... started season with a third-place finish in 100 Breaststroke against Binghamton (57.78) to earn three points ... swam his best time in the event at Zippy's by winning the B-Final and securing 20 points with a time of 54.48 ... also grabbed nine points in the 200 Breaststroke in Akron with a season-best 2:02.70 ... helped Cornell to defeat Brown in regular season finale with three total points ... swam both the 100 (55.63) and 200 Breaststroke (2:04.15) at the Ivy Championships, picking up six points.

2022-23 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Appeared in all nine meets for the Big Red in his second season on East Hill ... earned 26 points at the 2022 Zippy Invitational with separate 14th-place finishes in the 100 Breaststroke (55.96) and 200 Breaststroke (2:02.93) ... earn his best time in both events at the 2023 Ivy Championship in the 100 (55.28) and 200 (2:02.98) to pick up two points for Cornell. 

2021-22 l FRESHMAN SEASON
Dowdy finished his freshman campaign having competed in seven meets for the Big Red ... placed third at St. Bonaventure in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:12.43 ... placed 22nd in the 200-Yard Breaststroke at the Zippy Invitational, picking up 3 points for the Big Red ... placed fifth against Columbia in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:09.12.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Three year swimmer for Mayo High School ... Rookie of the Year in 2017 ... all-conference in 2017, 2018, and 2019 ... swam for the Rochester Swim Club ... named team captain for 2020-21 season ... made Rochester Swim Club National Team from 2019-21.

PERSONAL
Thatcher Thomas Dowdy is the son of Sean and Jill Dowdy, and he has one sister ... both Sean and Jill graduated from Cornell, each being a member of the crew teams ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
