Biography

At Cornell
Hallowell had a strong junior season in 2013-14, posting top 10 scores in Cornell history in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at the 2014 Ivy League Championship meet. His score of 288.25 in the 1-meter won the B level final and was good for fourth-best in Cornell history. Hallowell’s 240.15 score in the 3-meter put him 10th all-time for the Big Red was 20th at the championship meet. He finished second in the 3-meter and third in the 1-meter in a dual meet against Brown, scoring important points to lead the Big Red over the Bears. As a freshman in 2012, Hallowell has proven himself to be on of the hardest workers on the team. His athletic ability and tenacity have helped him improve great amounts during his freshman year. Hallowell's consistency improved greatly this past year while increasing his degree of difficulty on dives. The program is going to be looking for him to continue imrpoving his consistency in the future while continuing to challenge himself with more difficult dives.

Prior to Cornell
Hallowell was a four-year captain of the diving team at The Peddie School. He placed second at the Eastern Championships. Hallowell also competed for four seasons on the soccer team, including serving as team captain his senior season.

Personal
Thomas Joseph Hallowell is the son of Charles and Marta Hallowell and has three sisters and a brother. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
