As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Finished a strong third in the 200 back at the 2016 Ivy League Championships in 1:43.50, a time that was lower than the pool record and qualified for an NCAA B cut time.
• It was also just .10 off the school record, securing the second-fastest time in Cornell history.
• Also scored in the 200 free with the seventh-fastest time in school history (1:39.32).
• Placed 10th in the 100 back with an NCAA B but time (48.34), a mark that ranks fourth at Cornell.
• Was part of the 800 free relay team that secured the seventh-fastest time in school history (6:42.45).
• Won the 200 back races in dual meets against Brown, Columbia and Binghamton.
• Claimed the 200 back title at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• Stange scored for the Big Red at the Ivy League Championships in the 100 and 200 back.
• Placed as high as 13^th in the 200 back with his time of 1:45.10, a mark that is third-fastest all-time at Cornell.
• His best time of 49.64 in the 100 back is fifth on Cornell’s list, while his 1:39.96 in the 200 free ranks seventh best.
• Finished in the top three of nine dual meet races.
• Won the 200 free at the Bomber Invitational.

Prior to Cornell
• Stange graduated with three school records at Princeton HS (200 IM, 100 Back and as part of the 200 medley relay) and helped the team to a state title.
• The team MVP as a junior, he also earned the Rookie of the Year award as a freshman.
• Stange was elected team captain in his final season.

Personal
• William Friederich Stange is the son of Thomas and Mary Stange and has a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
