Swam in eight meets for the Big Red, including the Zippy Invitational and Ivy League Championship ... opened season with runner-up finishes in the 50 (21.23) and 100 (46.50) Freestyle against St. Bonaventure ... swam a squad-best 19.75 split as the final swimmer in Cornell's winning time in the 200 Medley Relay in its Ivy opener against Harvard and Dartmouth ... earned 25 total points at Zippy Invite to help push Big Red to first overall ... also helped Cornell to 88 total points in 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relay events ... grabbed second overall in 50 Freestyle at Yale and swam a team-best 44.89 split to help Cornell capture second in the 400 Freestyle Relay against Columbia ... closed regular season with setting two new pool records in the 200 Medley (1:27.03) and 400 Freestyle (2:55.97) relays ... snagged 13.5 points at Ivy League Championships with a time of 48.22 in the 100 Backstroke.

2022-23 l SOPHOMORE SEASON
Won the 50-Yard Freestyle event against Yale with a time of 20.92 seconds ... finished first for Cornell and second overall against Binghamton in the 50 Yard Freestyle ... helped the 200-Yard Freestyle relay team place third at the Zippy Invitational ... secured the fourth best time (20.34) at the Zippy Invitational in the 50-Yard Freestyle ... assisted the team’s 200-Medley Relay team in bringing home six top-3 finishes across the season, taking first against St. Bonaventure and Columbia ... helped the team’s 200-Yard Freestyle team secure five top-3 finishes across the season.

2021-22 l FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in eight meets for the Big Red as well as the Ivy League Championship ... against St. Bonaventure, he secured a fourth-place finish in the 100-Yard Freestyle and led his relay team to take second in the 200-Yard Medley ... as the first leg, he helped his relay team finish fifth in the 400-Yard Medley at the Zippy Invitational ... brought home 20 points for the Big Red at the Zippy Invitational .. as the first leg, he led his relay team to a second-place finish against Yale in the 200-Yard Medley ... helped his relay team secure a first-place finish against Columbia in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay ... took home five points for Cornell at the Ivy League Championship when he finished 22nd in the 50-Yard Freestyle and 23rd in the 100-Yard Backstroke.

William Jeffrey Taner is the son of Roberta and Derek Taner, and has one brother and one sister ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
