Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Competed in all nine meets for Cornell as a junior, including the Ivy League Championships.
• Scored points for the Big Red at conference championships in the 100- and 200-backstroke, making the C Final in both events.
• Finished 18th and 21st, respectively, in the 200- (1:48.27) and 100-backstroke (49.67) at Ivies.
• Also swam a personal-best 21.08 in the 50-freestyle prelims at the conference meet.
• Qualified for the A Final of the 200- and 100-backstroke at the Zippy Invitational, placing fifth and seventh, respectively.
• His preliminary 200-backstroke time of 1:48.13 at the Zippy Invitational marked a personal-best, while his preliminary 100-backstroke time (49.30) was a season-best.
• Picked up a pair of top-five finishes in the 200-backstroke against St. Bonaventure and the 200-IM against Binghamton.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Took second in the B final of the 100 back at the 2019 Ivy League Championship, posting a 48.72 to rank No. 6 in school history.
• Also scored in the 200 back, taking 19th.
• Captured runner-up finishes in both the 100 and 200 back races at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
• Was second in the 100 back in a dual meet win over St. Bonaventure.
• Reached the podium with a third-place effort in the 100 back against Bryant.
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Maintained a positive attitude after double knee surgery in 2017, managing to make the Ivy team in 2018 with lifetime best times.
• Scored in three events (100 and 200 back, 100 fly), with his time of 48.95 in the 100 back placing him 15th overall and ranking No. 7 all-time at Cornell.
• Consistently earned top five individual event finishes.
• Earned the team's Joseph J. Lucia Team Spirit Award at the postseason banquet.
