At Cornell
Zac Mijares-Shafai returns for his junior season for the Big Red
after seeing valuable time last year competing in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events. He is expected to continue to improve this year and should have a good season.
At John Cooper
An SPC champion in both the 100 and 200 free at the John Cooper School, Mijares-Shafai served as his team's captain.
Personal
Zacharia Mijares-Shafai is the son of Gerardo and Mijares and Nasrin Shafai. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
