Biography
At Cornell: A steady player who can return and pass well off both wings, Sham played well in the fall but couldn[apos]t quite get over the top. He competed hard, but lost heartbreaking three-set matches at the Cornell Fall Invitational, the Yale Invitational and the Penn Classic. If Sham works at finishing matches when he[apos]s ahead, he[apos]ll be a factor in the lineup this spring. Last spring, he injured the same ankle twice and missed the whole season. Sham is very fast, can run down many balls and is a solid competitor. He is a student in the School of Hotel Administration.
At H.R. College: While at the H.R. College of Commerce, Sham was a semifinalist in the national singles and doubles tournament in India.
Personal: Abedin E. Sham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sham and has an older sister. Born: 5-16-82.
