Freshman Season — 2015-16
Gabay made his collegiate debut at the Ivy Plus Tournament, where he lost a pair of singles matches in the Jadwin Bracket to opponents from Brown and Harvard.

Prior to Cornell
Gabay was rated as a five-star recruit the Tennis Recruiting Network as he joined the Big Red. He was consistently ranked inside of the top 50 nationally, and finished his junior career as the sixth-ranked player in Florida for his age group. Gabay was ranked as high as 281st in the ITF World Junior Rankings, highlighted by winning back-to-back titles at Grade 5 events in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Jake Gabay is the son of Jason and Janelle Gabay, and he has one sister and one brother. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
