Biography
A mentally tough player, Kung is the fastest athlete on the team and has an effective all-court game. He has started the spring playing very well and will compete for starting positions in both the singles and doubles lineup.
2007-08 Season
Kung missed the 2007-08 season due to an engineering program he attended in Texas.
2006-07 Season
Kung played primarily in the No. 5 and 6 singles spots during the spring 2006 season, sporting a 10-4 singles and 2-1 doubles record. He played great attacking tennis in victories over Army, Georgetown, Maryland, St. Mary’s and Santa Clara.
At Lakeside
A three-time Player of the Year at Lakeside School, Kung was also a four-time state champion. He received his school’s sportsmanship award and captained his tennis squad as a senior.
Personal
Peter Fu-guy Kung is the son of Yung-ming Kung and Tzu-jung Chang and has a younger brother and sister. He is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Engineering.
