Beck's up-to-date results
As a Junior (2017-18)
• Third all-time at Cornell in the indoor 200 (21.58) and indoor 300 (34.43).
• Five-time scorer at Heps meets this year.
• First-Team All-Ivy (Indoor 4x400 relay)
• Indoor Heps Champion in the 4x400 relay (3:15.89) and also took third in the 60 (6.89) and 200 (21.58).
• At Outdoor Heps, took fourth in the 200 (21.61) and sixth in the 100 (10.72).
• Earned 10 wins throughout the season.
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Had a stellar year for the Big Red sprints squad, earning 21 top 10 finishes that included first place with the 4x100 relay team at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships (40.32).
• Indoors, started the season with a win in the 60 and second place in the 300 at the Greg Page Relays.
• Also took sixth in the 60 at the Armory Track Invitational (6.95).
• Outdoors, had three top five finishes in the 200 and finished eighth in the 400 at the UCLA Legends Invitational (50.10).
• As an individual at outdoor Heps, finished 10th in the 200(21.83) and 15th in the 100 (10.85).
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Proved to be a solid sprinter during his freshman year, which was highlighted by first place finishes in the indoor 60 (6.86) and 200 (21.90) at the Cornell Sunday Invitational.
• Also helped the 4x100 relay to a first place finish at the Bison Outdoor Classic (41.10) and the Larry Ellis Invite (40.43) as well as a third place finish (40.31) at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Before Cornell
• As a sprinter for the Tri-City Christian School track team, Beck helped his team to three Pacific League Championships, including two while he was captain.
• In 2014, he was the Pacific League Athlete of the Year, Coastal Conference Athlete of the Meet and First Team All-League, an honor he earned again in 2015.
• As a senior, he was named the UT San Diego All-Academic Team Captain and was his school’s Student Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive time and Athlete of the Year.
• Beck was also a member of the National Honors Society and the California Scholarship Federation.
Personal
• Alex Kalikimaka Beck is the son of Pax and Stephanie Perez.
• He has a younger sister, Hannah, and is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
