• At Outdoor Heps, took seventh in the 400 (48.33) and third in the 4x400 (3:11.03).
• Placed 19th in the 400 (49.33) at the IC4A Outdoor Championships.

• Earned personal records in the indoor 400 (48.86) to take 21st at the Scarlet and White Invitational and the outdoor 400 (47.93) to finish ninth at the War Eagle Invitational.
As a Freshman (2016-17)
• Had a solid debut season for Cornell in the sprints, earning five first place finishes and 17 top 10 finishes overall.
• Indoors, he was a member of the winning 4x400 meter relay team at the Greg Page Relays, the Upstate Challenge and the Armory Track Invitational and also finished fourth in the 4x400 at the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
• Won the 300 meter hurdles at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational (42.41).
• Outdoors, took first in the 400 at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet (PR 48.94) and finished 13th in the 400 at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships (49.00).
Before Cornell
• At the 2016 Oklahoma 6A State Championships, Fields finished fourth in the 400 meter (50.10).
• He finished second in 2015 (48.98) and third in 2014 (49.37).
• His 4x200 meter relay team won the state championships in 2015.

• Benjamin Njila Fields is the son of Serina Fields, and he has a younger brother, Patrick.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
