2025-26 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Made his collegiate debut as a distance runner for the Big Red... highlighted by setting personal bests int he Mile, 3000m, 2000m steeplechase, 1500m and 800m... most notably took third in the 800m with a time of 2:01.51 at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Earned four varsity letters in both cross country and track and field at the Latin School of Chicago… helped lead team to the 2021 state championship and third-place state finishes in 2022 and 2024… earned two all-state honors in cross country… served as team captain in both cross country and track during junior and senior seasons… school record holder in track and field… recipient of the school’s sportsmanship award… founder and president of the Food For Change Club… member of the Cum Laude Society and Erasmus Society for Students with Intellectual Curiosity.

PERSONAL
Benjamin Smith Gibson is the son of Denise and Matt Gibson… has two brothers, Ryan and Sam… Ryan played football at University of California, Berkeley and Sam plays soccer at Williams College… born in Short Hills, New Jersey, and raised in Chicago… enrolled in the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration.
