As a Senior (2019-20)
• Recorded four top-five placements in non-multi events.
• Placed second at the Upstate Challenge (1/24-25) in the heptathlon.
• Notched a personal record for third place in the heptathlon at the Ivy League Indoor Heps Championships (2/29-3/1).
• His Heps heptathlon performance is the fourth-best in program history.
As a Junior (2018-19)
• Finished fifth in Outdoor Heps (5/4-5) in the decathlon.
• Recorded nine top-five placements in non-multi events.
• Notched third-place at Indoor Heps (2/23-24) in the heptathlon.
• Placed second in the heptathlon at the Upstate Challenge (1/18-19).
• Earned the ninth-best decathlon score in program history.
As a Sophomore (2017-18)
• Competed at both Heps, taking 10th in the 400 hurdles at outdoors (54.09) and 14th in the 60 hurdles during indoors (8.68).
• Had five top-10 finishes and two third-place showings on the year.
• Placed third in the 60 hurdles at the Sunday Invitational (8.38) and the 100 hurdles at the Bison Outdoor Classic (15.24).
As a Freshman (2016-17)
• Contributed to the Big Red right away as a freshman, competing primarily in the hurdles and earning 20 top 10 finishes.
• Finished fourth in the 60 hurdles at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open, second in the event at the Marc Deneault Memorial and then hit a collegiate-best 8.21 at the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championships before going on to finish seventh.
• Outdoors, Started off with a third place finish in the 400 hurdles and a fourth place finish in the 110 hurdles at the UCLA Legend Invitational and also took third in the 110 hurdles at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a personal best of 14.66.
• Finished seventh in both the 400 hurdles (PR 53.92) and 110 hurdles (14.62) at outdoor Heps.
Before Cornell
• Jeffrey, a three-year captain of the track team at Upper Canada College in Toronto, was a seven-time Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations medalist and won two Canadian Independent School Athletic Association Senior Track and Field titles.
• He was a member of the University of Toronto Track and Field Club and was named the 2015 Toronto Track Athlete of the Year and was a three-time Athletics Ontario gold medalist in the hurdles.
• Jeffrey was also captain of the football team his senior year and played in the jazz ensemble.
Personal
• Clayton MacGregor Jeffrey is the son of Craig and Carrie Jeffrey.
• He has an older brother, Morgan, and two younger brothers, Calvin and Landon.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
