    Men's Heptathlon - Clayton Jeffrey '20 (#4)
    Men's Pole Vault - Johannes Stromhaug (#8)
    Women's Pentathlon - Beatrice Juskeviciute (#1)
    Women's Pole Vault - Claire Kao '20 (#1), Victoria Atkinson (#5), Maria Siciliano (#6)
Women's High Jump - Marguerite Lorenzo (#3), Olivia Rodriguez (#10)
    Women's Triple Jump - Leone Farquharson (#7), Zenab Ojibe '20 (#9)
    Women's Long Jump - Leone Farquharson (#2)

Hinch coached sophomore Beatrice Juskeviciute as she made her way to the 2020 DI Track & Field Championships, which were eventually cancelled. In just her second year with the Big Red, Hinch trained Juskeviciute as she broke the school record twice and won the 2020 Ivy pentathlon. Under the drection of Hinch, Claire Kao '20 won her first Ivy League title with a record-breaking pole vault clear while Marguerite Lorenzo cleared the second-best height on high jump at the 2020 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Trakc & Field Championship. Unfortunately, Hinch and his pole vaulters were unable to finish out the 2019-20 track season as the spring season was cancelled in order to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Playing Career

As an athlete, Hinch's resume is extensive. He began his career at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California where he was the California State Junior College Champion in 2011. After Cuesta, Hinch transferred to Arizona State University. At the 2012 NCAA DI Outdoor Championships, Hinch finished third with a personal best mark of 5.50m (18'0.5"). All told, Hinch was a two-time All-American in the pole vault for the Sun Devils and sits second on their all-time top ten list in the event.

Following graduation in 2014, Hinch continued to train and compete at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California under the guidance of coaches Kris Mack and Jeremy Fischer. While at the training center, Hinch was an elite pole vaulter, placing in the top ten at several U.S. Championships from 2014-2017.

Prior to Cornell

Prior to joining the Big Red team, Hinch spent one season with the Western Colorado University track and field teams as an assistant coach/facilities coordinator. With the Mountaineers, Hinch was responsible for coaching jumps and multi-event groups while coordinating facilities scheduling for Mountaineer Athletics. During his time at Western Colorado, Hinch coached five athletes to seven top ten performances and two school records.

Hinch got his start in collegiate athletics at Minnesota State University - Mankato, where he served as a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s track and field programs for one year. At Minnesota State, Hinch assisted in coaching the jumps, sprints hurdles and multi-event groups. Additionally, Hinch coordinated academic progress meetings and study halls for the men’s and women’s cross country/track and field athletes.

With the Mavericks, Hinch coached an NCAA DII National Champion in the women's high jump at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships along with a 2018 NCAA Indoor All-American in the men's triple jump. At the conference level, he helped the Maverick men clinch their seventh straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championship by nearly 100 points while the women finished as runner-up. At the NSIC Outdoor Championship, the Mavericks would replicate the feat. Hinch's athletes won four NSIC individual event titles during the 2018 indoor/outdoor campaign.

Before joining collegiate athletics, Hinch served as an assistant track and field coach at La Jolla Country Day High School from December 2015-July 2017. While there, he helped qualify two sprinters for the sectional meet. From August 2009 to July 2017, he spent time as the pole vault coach for Sky Jumpers Vault Camps and from June 2013-July 2015, he was the pole vault coach with the Arizona Pole Vault Academy.
