Connor Herr's up-to-date results
As a Senior (2015-16)
Herr ran in five cross country races his senior year, opening the season with a strong fourth-place finish at the competitive Brother Jasper Invitational. He ran for 70th at Ivy League Cross Country Championships and earned a spot in the NCAA Division I Northeast Region Championships, where he also finished 70th.
On the track, he helped the 4x800 team to a win at the Cornell Indoor Upstate Challenge. Outdoors, he finished fourth in the 3K steeplechase at Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonals and qualified for IC4A Championships in the 1500.
As a Junior (2014-15)
After missing 22 months with an injury, he started the season with a ninth-place finish at the dual-meet at Army. At Pre-Nationals, he moved into Cornell’s scoring five for the first time in his career, posting an 8K time of 26:01.2.

On the track, Herr rounded out the all-Cornell top four in the 3K, finishing in 8:28.52. He snagged another fourth-place finish in the same event at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge, this time coming in at 8:21.64. He won the 800 at the Denault Memorial in 1:56.15. In the 4xMile event at Penn Relays, Herr’s relay team took 10
th overall in 16:40.15, the third-fastest time in school history. At Outdoor Ivy Heptagonals, he finished third in the 3000 steeplechase, helping the Big Red to a second place finish.
As a Sophomore (2013-14)
Herr did not compete in any cross country races this season.
On the track, Herr competed in six events in his sophomore season, primarily competing in the 3000 steeplechase for the Big Red. His best performances came towards the end of the outdoor season. He earned a 3
rd place finish with a 4:05.61 in the 1500 at the Cortland Classic Invitational. He posted his best time in the 3000 steeplechase at the Penn Relays, running the race in 9:19.24 to earn 13
th place. He wrapped up the season with a 2
nd place finish in the 3000 steeplechase at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
As a Freshman (2012-13)
Herr's Big Red career got off to a great start in his freshman season as he quickly found a place in the team's top 12. Herr ran at the Heptagonal Championships, placing 68th for Cornell. He began the year with an 18th-place finish at the Army-Binghamton tri-meet, and he followed that with a 12th-place effort at the Yellowjacket Invitational. He placed sixth among Cornell runners at the Paul Short Run, taking 107th place overall, and he had an 86th-place finish at the Wisconsin Invitational's Open Run. At the conclusion of the season, Herr was given the team's Louis Montgomery Award for being its most valuable freshman.
On the track, Herr quickly became one of the Big Red's top distance athletes thanks to excellent performances in the steeplechase. At the Outdoor Heps, Herr ran it in a personal-best 8:55.41 to place second and earn a spot at the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C. There, Herr finished 39th overall and showed plenty of promise for his future at Cornell.
Before Cornell
Herr was a four-year cross country and track runner during high school. He was a conference champion all four years of cross country, and he claimed a South Jersey Group 4 team title as a sophomore. He was also named All-Burlington County three times, and he was the Group 3 Indoor 3,200-meter champion as well.
Personal
Connor Steven Herr is the son of Steven and Jill Herr. He has an older brother, Jake, and a younger sister, Hannah.
