Before Cornell
Cariello was first-team all-county in the pole vault and the 110m hurdles as a senior and earned first-team all-conference in the same two events that season.

David Robert Cariello is the son of Robert and Betty Cariello and has two older sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
