Sisserson's up-to-date results

As a Senior (2016-17)
Sisserson had a fantastic senior season for Cornell, recording five victories in the pole vault. He was the runner-up at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships while also placing third at the Indoor Heps. The vaulter closed out his collegiate career at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round, taking 29th. Sisserson holds the school record in the indoor pole vault (17’ 11 1/4”) and shares the outdoor record as well (17’ 4 1/2”).

As a Junior (2015-16)
Sisserson vaulted in two meets as a junior, finishing first at the Greg Page Relays (16’4.75”) and second at the Nittany Lion Challenge (15’9.25”).

As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Sisserson was stellar in his sophomore season as a pole vaulter. He set a new school record, and then broke it two more times, eventually breaking the conference record as well. He first set the Cornell record at 17’ 3” in a first-place finish at the Beantown Challenge, earning him Ivy League Player of the Week honors. He would go on to break his own record with a 17’ 5” vault at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge  and finally a 17’ 11.25” vault at the Deneault Memorial, the best vault in Ivy League history. In addition to winning the league title at Ivy League Indoor Heptagonals with a vault of 17’ 0.75”, he picked up indoor wins at the Upstate Challenge (16’ 8.75”) and Kane Invitational (17’ 0.75”).  He also took the Ivy League outdoor championship with a 17’ 0.75” clearance.

As a Freshman (2013-14)
Sisserson immediately became one of the Big Red’s top performers in the vault in his first season. He took home 1st place at six events during the indoor season, including the Nittany Lion Challenge and the Boston University David Hemery Valentine. He posted an indoor best 16’ 8.75” clearance in a 2nd place finish at the Indoor Heps. He concluded the indoor season with a 5th place showing at the IC4A’s. His success did not wane with the transition to the outdoor season. He scored a 3rd place finish at the Stanford, before starting a streak which saw him finish 1st at four consecutive events. The highlight of the stretch was a season best 17’ 1” clearance at the Penn Relays. He had a tough showing at the Outdoor Heps, but would rebound to mark an 8th place finish at the IC4A’s. Sisserson wrapped his first year at the NCAA East Prelims, marking a 33rd place finish.
