Biography
2025-26 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in five meets for the Big Red marked by three podium finishes... he took third in the mile at the Cornell Invite with a time of 4:15.44... at the Kane Invitational, he took first in both the mile and the 800m, improving his 800m personal best... at the Ivy Indoor Heps Championship he took 12th the 1000m and fifth in the 4x800 with his teammates.
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Attended Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas… competed in cross country and track & field for four years… helped lead team to four consecutive state championships (2021–24)… member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL
Griffin Philip Cords is the son of Bianca and Robert Cords… has one younger sister… born in Libertyville, Illinois… raised in Dallas, Texas… enrolled in the College of Engineering and plans to major in mechanical engineering.
