He posted a career best time of 1:20.39 in the 600 to take 4th place at the Nittany Lion Challenge. He posted a career best 1000 meter time of 2:31.73 in a 4th place finish the following week at the Cornell Upstate Challenge. Keeping with the trend he obliterated his previous best in the 500, posting a 1:04.49 at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Meet. The following week he took home 1st place with a career best 800 time of 1:51:37 at the SPIRE NCAA Invitational. At the Indoor Heps, he placed 4th in the 800. Cho showed improvements outdoors as well, posting a career best time of 50.16 in the 400 at the UCR Spring Break Invitational. He also played an integral role on the 4x4 and 4x8 teams who took home 3rd and 12th respectively at the Penn Relays.

As a Sophomore (2012-13)
Cho saw a bigger role on the team in his sophomore season, racing on the 4x880-yard relay team at the Indoor Heps and helping the Big Red take first place and score 10 points. Cho then ran the 800 by himself at the Indoor Heps, placing sixth and scoring a point for Cornell. At the Indoor IC4As, Cho was again on a Big Red 4x800 relay team, this time placing sixth in the prelims to advance his team to the final. At the Outdoor Heps, Cho was again on Cornell's point-scoring 4x800 team, placing third. He ended his year by helping Cornell to five points with a fourth-place finish in the 4x800 at the Outdoor IC4As.

As a Freshman (2011-12)
Cho was part of a distance medley relay team that took 22nd at the Indoor IC4As. In that race, Cho ran the third leg for Cornell.

Before Cornell
Cho capped off his high school career with a state title in the 800m. Cho was a three-time all-state and six-time first-team all-league selection in track and field. He was also named The Reporter's Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
